Good evening Viper families,

Good evening Viper families,

Third quarter progress reports are now visible on Parent Portal, and hard copies will be mailed home soon. Please see our IB grades webpage for instructions on how to view and understand your IB grades.

We are happy to introduce our new VMMS Community Liaison, Lupita Hernandez. We are so glad to have Ms. Hernandez on our team to support parents and students in a variety of ways every day. You may contact Ms. Hernandez by email at olgahernandezherna@vistausd.org and by phone at (760) 726-5766 x 61100.

This week we have a PTA Association Meeting on Monday, April 11th at 4pm on Zoom. This will be a brief meeting for events approval, so we appreciate all PTA member attendance and participation. The meeting link will be on our school website, thank you for your support.

On Monday we are excited to kick off our annual school-wide Service as Action project. Each year Viper students work on a community service project as a school. This year students will help spark global change through art activism. Students will bring awareness to a cause they care about by designing a pin for their lanyard or backpack. We will kick off this project in Advisory on Monday so make sure to ask your students about it!

Lastly, looking ahead, there is no school next week on Wednesday, April 20th. This is a professional development day for all staff, so there will be no students on campus.

Last week we had 0 individuals at our school who tested positive for COVID-19. Staff members and students who may have come into close contact with the individual(s) have already received a separate communication from school staff. Students who are absent due to a COVID related situation should refer to our Student Quarantine Instructions to stay up to date with their classwork.

COVID testing sites are available at a variety of locations in our school district. Please see these flyers for more information: Testing Centers - English

We encourage everyone who is eligible to get the COVID vaccination, which is available free at the Vista Innovation Center every weekday. Please see these flyers for more information:
