Here are just some of the events and programs that the HSA provides. Kindly consider donating your time and talents to any of the programs listed below.

Every volunteer makes a difference and is much appreciated no matter the number of events attended! All volunteers must have clearances and district issued badges.

Creativity / Arts
☐ Art in Motion
Present noted works of art to students for a 30 min time slot during the school day. Training and Supplemental materials provided. There are 3 Fall and 3 Spring presentations.

☐ gARTen Club
Work with students during recess and assist Club organizers with activities, crafts, and planting after school. Helpers needed year-round to help maintain, care for, and harvest the garden. Contact Gretchen Scalzi mailto:gretch20@gmail.com for more information.
☐ International Festival
HSA evening event to celebrate and learn about cultures around the word. Volunteers to organize “country sponsors” and for set up/clean up. Winter 2019. Contact Meredith Armbrust mereditharmbrust@gmail.com for more information.
☐ Writers’ Workshop/Playwrights
After school activity focusing on creative writing. Volunteers to organize possible performances of the students’ writings and to manage the afterschool participants’ arrival/dismissal. Winter 2019. Contact Meredith Armbrust mereditharmbrust@gmail.com for more information.
☐ Original Works

Community
☐ Membership

☐ Family Outreach & Educ.

☐ 5th Grade Picnic

☐ Fundraising/Sponsorship

☐ HSA Communications

☐ Earn for Osborne

☐ Hospitality/Luncheons

☐ Lunch Room Assistants

☐ QV Spirit/Homecoming

☐ Race for Education
HSA’s primary fundraiser ($20,000+ annually) to fund all events/activities throughout the year. Volunteers to secure corporate/individual sponsors, monitor Race website and communications, and set-up/preparations on Race Day October 18, 2018. ☐ Winter Service Project

☐ Valentine Book Donations
Opportunity for students to donate books to the library as a “valentine gifts” for Osborne staff. Volunteers needed to coordinate tasks. Contact osbornehsa@gmail.com for more information.
☐ Yearbook

Educational/Academic
☐ Book Fair

Physical Fitness/Recreational
☐ Family Fun Night
Set-up and oversee an evening program for Osborne families to participate in physical activities. Volunteers also needed for set-up and clean up. February 2019. Contact osbornehsa@gmail.com for more information.
