Fulton County Schools South Learning Community

2015 - 2016 Issue 1

Spotlighting the best and the brightest physical educators from the South Learning Community in Fulton County.

Palmetto Elementary School

Joshua Turner and his paraprofessional, Thomas Reid are a new team at Palmetto Elementary in Palmetto, Georgia. Students have been working on the skills of throwing and catching. Students enjoyed playing "Save the Treasure" and "Clean Up the Backyard". Mr. Turner enjoys leading the students in their warm up activities. He does a great job of higher order questioning to ensure that the students know what they are learning in P.E. Want to learn how to play the games? Email Mr. Turner - turnerj1@fultonschools.org

Evoline C. West Elementary School

Tasha Hill and her paraprofessional, Shannon Smith make an excellent team at Evoline West Elementary in Fairburn, Georgia. This week students were working on Teamwork and Team Building Activities through fitness and track activities. Students came to class and began their workouts with walking and exercises to maximize time on task. Email Coach Hill at hillt1@fultonschools.org for more information on her bulletin board ideas.

Website To Try!

Have you tried www.wheeldecide.com? You can create your own virtual spinning wheel of activities or skills to use during physical education class. Here is a link to the one that I created for basketball - http://goo.gl/HYbIXc
