Message from our Principal
Dear Families,
I can’t believe we are halfway through the month of September! We have had a great week of learning at FWE. We welcomed our youngest Wildcats onto campus this week and it has been rewarding to see them engaged in their learning. Our teachers are continuing to teach expectations and procedures while at school and most importantly, build stamina for the week. Please partner with us in continuing to build a consistent school schedule at home with a regular bedtime and wake up time.
Please remember our dismissal procedures. We really appreciate your patience and continued partnership in making it run as smoothly as possible. Our goal is 15 minutes and we are almost there!
Our drop-off and pick-up procedures will use the map below. Some gentle reminders are:
Car Pick-Up
Please remain in your car
Please have your FAMILY SIGN visible
Please ensure your child’s car seat is on the RIGHT SIDE of the vehicle for loading and unloading.
If your child needs assistance to buckle their car seat, please PULL UP and go to a parking spot.
Please remember, there is NO PARKING in the Fire Lane before 3:00 p.m (2:00 p.m. on Friday).
Walking
Please wait in line along the brick wall
Please have your FAMILY SIGN visible
Enter the gym, have your child meet you on the outside line and follow the line to the exit at the double doors.
We have many middle and high school students who come to pick up younger siblings at the end of the day and we love to see them! Frank Wagner is still in session and they need to be waiting patiently and quietly for the dismissal bell. They are allowed to wait by the office wall so they do not have to wait in hot sun or cold rain, but when the dismissal bell rings, middle and high school students need to follow our procedure of walking through the gym to collect their younger siblings. Younger siblings will not exit through the black gate unless they are car pick up students. When middle and high school students are on campus, it is important that they are setting a positive example for our young wildcats by listening to adult directions and following our ROAR expectations.

Ms. Simeoni and Ms. Fox welcome you to FWE for the 2022-2023 school year!
We are happy to announce that FWE has added another school counselor, Ms. Fox. We welcome
her to our Wildcat community! Ms. Fox and Ms. Simeoni are excited for this new school year
and so happy to be your school counselors. We are here to support students and their families.
We all have big feelings and sometimes we need a little help. We are here for all of our
students, however Ms. Simeoni will be working primarily with students in Kindergarten, 1 st and
2 nd grade and Ms. Fox with grades 3, 4 and 5. Students, please stop by to see us or let your
teacher know you want to visit with us. Parents and guardians you call the main office to reach
us or email us at simeonim@monroe.wednet.edu foxb@monroe.wednet.edu
Here are a few fun facts about us:
Ms. Simeoni loves picture books and reading to students. I like musical theater. I have a
dog named Trixie. I believe in a growth mindset and you will hear me talk a lot about that.
I believe each and every one of you is capable of great things. We are going to have a
SUPER year together.
Ms. Fox loves spending time in the mountains climbing and skiing and cuddles from her dog
Lyra! I believe that working together and respecting one another are some of
the most important skills that school can help us learn. I am so excited to hear about
your many strengths and to help support you because it is always okay to ask for help!
Let’s get ready to ROAR!
