Plot: Throughout the novel Hatchet, the main character Brian goes through alot of hard times trying to survive in the canadian widerness. So as he flies up to see his dad he has some problems on the way.The plane starts to shut down and wont fly, and Brian gets really scared. He ends up making it through the crash, and has to survive in the canadian wilderness.He has this hatchet that his mom gave him before he went to go see his dad on the trip.The whole way through the story he he has to rely on that hatchet to survive.

Plot summary

First Brian the main character is having trouble because his mom is cheating on his dad with another man. The reason he knows this is because he seen them kiss. So he finally finds out that he gets to take a plane ride to his dad in canada.And he cant wait to tell his dad about the guy his mom is cheating on him with.
