Food Pick up
The Food & Nutrition Services Department will be providing free meals to all children Monday-Friday during the emergency closure.
Meal Site: Vernon Center Middle School Door #5
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 9am – 11am daily during closure
Meals Served: Breakfast & Lunch
Meal Style: Drive up Grab & Go
Details of operation: Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all children at NO COST. Complete, bagged meals will be handed out to families that drive up to Door #5 at Vernon Center Middle School (see map). Families can collect breakfast and lunch at the same time. One breakfast and one lunch per child per day. Children do not need to be present to collect the meals. Meals are not available for adults.
To mitigate the spread of disease, no one is permitted to enter the building. We encourage all families driving up to collect meals to stay in their vehicle. Meals will be brought to the vehicle by the Food & Nutrition staff.
Meal options will be based on product availability. Example breakfast menu includes muffin, yogurt, fruit, and cold milk. Example lunch menu includes sunbutter & jelly sandwich, baby carrots, apple, and cold milk. Meals should be consumed within one hour or refrigerated immediately. If your child has a food allergy or medical issue, please let the Food & Nutrition staff know. Accommodations will be made to the best extent possible. All meals are nut & pork free.

Check out the April 2020 Mind & Body Calendars to help you out with both! These calendars encourage students to stay physically active while working on aspects of mental wellness. Available for both elementary and secondary in English and Spanish.
We challenge you to complete the daily move each day this month! If you have a printer, print out the calendar so you have a visual of what you can do each day and then cross out each day you complete the move! Involve your family as well!
