This includes preparation to teach a comprehensive curriculum or specific subject matter. You will study a particular area of concentration, take general education courses to develop good teaching/supervision skills. Study in field ends with a student teaching experience. During the first part, you will be supervised by a professional teacher; then prepare lesson in your subject while being monitored and evaluated by a supervising teacher.

Your test scores matter on the PSAT. These can get you college scholarships and show you where you can improve. The real thing is coming up soon.
- Start researching potential careers.
Research different jobs and careers out there. Talk to people in the field you are interested in.
- Compile a List of Schools
Think of schools you are wanting to go. Consider the area of study, strength of department, distance from home, and size.

11th Grade

Senior Year
First Semester:
- Fight Senioritis.
It is a struggle to stay on track and involved, by stay strong.
- Take the ACT or SAT Again
if you're not happy with your scores
- Get Letters of Recommendation.
Request them at the beginning of school from teachers and not family or friends.
- Apply to top three to five schools.
- Make sure applications contain:
-all the requested material
-proofread
-send in a clean application
-make copies
- Keeps looking for scholarships.
- Create a checklist
of places you've applied to and application deadlines.
Second Semester:
- Pick a school.
-choose between the schools you got in to
-notify the college that you chose saying you decided to attend.
-send first semester transcripts if your college request it.
- Fill out the FASFA
as close to Jan. 1st as you can to get grants and loans.
- Make Sure all of the Paperwork required
by the university has been filled out and sent before the due dates
-check for paid fees
- Begin Researching
Greek rush requirements at your school (if interested)
- Check on housing.
Schools begin housing assignments in May.
