Short Term Environmental Changes
Short term environmental changes are temporary changes in an organism's environment that causes them to adapt to their new surroundings.
A blizzard is a severe snow storm that covers everything in snow. Blizzards can occur for about 3 hours, having snow as tall as 1/3 of a mile. It takes a few days for the snow to melt in an environment. Organisms in a blizzard will try their best to keep warm. If they do not have the proper body temperature, an organism will get sick and possibly die.

Humans adapt to blizzards by staying inside their homes or bundling up in coats, sweaters, and other warm clothing.
Some animals adapt to the cold by preserving their food and going into hibernation until it is all over. Others go on about their days, having thick fur to keep them warm.
