4 Main Ideas of Hamilton's Proposal
-Federal Government pay the Revolutionary War debt.
-Federal Government assumed the states debt from the war.
-Creation of the National Bank.
-Passing a high protective tarrif to encourage Americans to make goods at home, rather than buy from overseas.
Assumption of the States Debt
The low country elite tended to support the Federalists while those from the back country supported the Democratic-Republicans. Most South Carolinians supported the assumption of state debts because most of the Revolutionary War was fought in South Carolina.

War of 1812
The War of 1812 was a conflict between the United States and the British Empire. The British blocked the American trade, since they feared it was harmful for their war with France. Since Canada was a british colony back then, it fought along side with the British. Both sides suffered a lot of damage and even the White House was burned down in 1814. America won in the end.
