Elmer's Fun Run- Boosterthon

Thank you to everyone who supported the Boosterthon! The students had a great time running on Friday! We appreciate all of the support, and all funds will be going to new technology for our students!

MLK Day Holiday- Monday, January 16th

Students and staff will have a school holiday on Monday, January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will see everyone on Tuesday, January 17th.

Multicultural Heritage Night- Friday, January 20th

We will be hosting a Multicultural Heritage Night at EGE on Friday, January 20th from 5:30-7 p.m. We encourage you to celebrate your heritage by setting up a display table. Some ideas for the display include flags, photographs, artifacts, costumes, or small bites of traditional food - be creative! Please fill out this form or email mriggs@humbleisd.net by January 16th.

Movie Night with Multicultural Heritage Night

We will be showing "Raya and The Last Dragon" on Friday, January 20th starting at 5:45 p.m. The movie will be outdoors at the pavilion, so please bring seating. PTA will be selling concessions and pizza from Marco's. Pre-order your pizza here for $12.

If you would like to have lunch with your student, we welcome guests to eat with us in the cafeteria. Please check in at the front office to get your visitor badge.

Parent University Session - Thursday, January 26th

Healthy Relationships Webinar, 6 to 7 p.m.

Join us for a virtual webinar to learn about the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy dating relationships, early warning signs and factors that may increase risks for dating violence and ways you can promote healthy relationships. We will discuss the media's portrayal of healthy and unhealthy relationships and how you can bring awareness to the community in February for Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. Humble Museum Event- Saturday, February 4th

The City of Humble and the Humble Museum are hosting a free community event that recreates Revolutionary era history with a variety of activities including military demonstrations, a short play with local high school student actors, and interactive stations where children can make crafts from this time period. The free event is on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00 am- 4:00 pm at the Humble Museum. You can read more about the planned activities in the attached flyer.

Julie Garza Scholarship for Graduating Seniors- Former EGE 5th Graders

Elm Grove Elementary has a college scholarship opportunity for former students who attended 5th grade at EGE. The Julie Garza Scholarship is provided through the Humble ISD Education Foundation. The Humble ISD Education Foundation also offers several other scholarships for graduating seniors. Students are able to apply to many scholarships using one general application. For a full list of scholarships, visit the Education Foundation scholarship page.


All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Attendance Matters

Attendance is very important to a child's education. If your child(ren) have to be absent for any reason, please report the absence.

When reporting an absence, it is important to include the child's first and last name, the teacher's name, date(s) they were absent, and the reason for the absence. Listed below are some options on how you can report an absence.
