Please send Purple Reading Folders back to school with books inside! I will keep these over the weekend and students will have new books placed inside their folder on Monday morning to take home. If they do not return their purple folders, I will not be able to send new books home with your child. Please help us out with responsibility! :)
This week's Mustang Stars!!
So proud of these two!! Way to go Ava and Sadie!! :) Keep up the GREAT work!! .... Parents, just so you know, ALL students will eventually be named a "Mustang Star". I am looking for exceptional work and effort to be the best student and friend they can be! You can become a Mustang Star for many reasons. The phrase I use often is "are you showing Mustang Star behavior? What choices can we make in order to become a Mustang Star?" You can reinforce this at home :)
How many more to make 10?
In math, we have been extending our ten frame activities to discover "How many more do we need to make 10?" This will help us with addition and subtraction in the upcoming weeks. Practice at home by asking your child "I have 6 pieces of candy, how many more do I need to make 10?" etc...
We are finished with Five Senses!
In conclusion to our five senses unit, we created a visual representation of our five senses! Look for these to come home soon...
Taste testing
We had A LOT of fun doing our taste testing last week. We learned that we can describe the taste of something using many different adjectives: sweet, salty, spicy and SOUR!! Lemons are VERY SOUR!!! :)
Grandparent's Day & Veteran's Day!
Nov 11th- Veteran's
It is NOT too late to RSVP for Grandparent's Day if you will be purchasing food from the cafeteria. In order to have an accurate amount, we need to let the cafeteria manager by Friday morning! :)
