Greetings FLE Family,

To promote the value of books and reading, we’re inviting our community members to Forest Lake Elementary School (6801 Brookfield Rd, Columbia, SC 29206) on Friday, February 17, 2023, to share a storybook with our students. We would like our readers to arrive by 8:15 a.m. for breakfast and welcome program. An appreciation performance will also be presented to our readers by Forest Lake Elementary School Chorus.

Your task will be to read a book written by an African American author to a group of students in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grades. You may bring your favorite picture book to share or choose a picture book from our selection. Readers may leave once they have finished sharing their book with the students.
