NFDL Assessment
Our district uses a Balanced Assessment System approach (summative, benchmark, formative) to assessing student learning. We value multiple measures of data, as opposed to using one source of information.
**Wisconsin Forward Exam testing is currently taking place in FLC, BA, and HM. Thank you to everyone for helping to set our students up to be successful.**

Assessment Resources:
NFDL Instruction
- We are shifting our focus from what we are teaching to what students are learning.
- District Definition - Differentiation = Responding to Student Needs.
- District Definition - Data = Any Information About a Student.
WHOEVER DOES THE WORK DOES THE LEARNING.
Who is doing the work in your class? You? Your students? Some students? Your learning targets, the questions you ask, and the feedback you give help to ensure the right people are doing the work.
Effectiveness Project - My Learning Plan
We believe in using instructionally sound practices for our students, not for the Effectiveness Project. If we do this, our work in My Learning Plan will take care of itself.
Upcoming Due Dates
- Documentation Log & SLOs due May 26th
Documentation Log Artifact Ideas
At the end of the year we you are evaluated based on your 6 professional standards. Be intentional with what artifacts you selected to put into MLP. Here are 3 tips for artifact selection from CESA 6.
- Look through all of your observations for this year.
- Read through the standard language for each of the 6 EP standards.
- Include items that are in the standard language, but not directly observed during an observation. This is a great way to identify high leverage artifacts.
Parent Communication Log and Professional Development Log
Your parent communication log and professional development log are required artifacts in your documentation log. Both of these artifacts will be placed in Standard 6 - Professionalism.
Examples of How These Artifacts Could Look When Uploaded:
- Professional Development Log - A PDF of a list of the PD you participated in this year including date, title, brief description
- Parent Communication Log - A PDF of a sample of your communication log with a description of the entire communications for the year and frequency - A PDF of a screen shot of emails to parents with a description of frequency and other methods used beyond email.
