Principal Update



It has been a busy couple of weeks. Students are thriving and making progress. You should have received a form for weekly OHSU Covid testing. You have the opportunity to have your student tested weekly. Permission is required. If you have not seen the form, please ask your student for the Homework Folder. The form was sent in a special folder. Students are able to keep their folders for personal use.

Outdoor School Activities coming up for 6th-grade students starting October 25th. Teachers will send out additional information.

As the weather changes, your student may need some assistance with remembering to bring a rain jacket or coat to school. As much as possible we will have recess outside, weather permitting. If is drizzling, students will be outside.

Join us for the PTA meeting tonight to hear about all the great efforts taking place to support the school and students. You can also purchase a Pie from the Beaumont Foundation. The options look tasty.

Safety Protocol Reminders

One way to help keep our students COVID Free is to ensure that they are wearing their masks both inside and outside of the building. Please review the return to school information from PPS and review the mask expectations for everyone that enters the building. Click on this Link

Beaumont Foundation Pie Sale

Buy yummy pies while donating to Beaumont Middle School and the Fund for PPS. The funds raised by this campaign contribute to full-time teaching positions. These efforts help reduce class sizes, allow for more students to take the electives courses they choose and keep more staff at Beaumont. *****Last day to order is October 25. Pies will be frozen and available for

pick-up on Tuesday November 16 from 3:30-6:00pm at the Beaumont School parking lot on NE Fremont St.*****. Pies are made by Willamette Valley Pie Co. in Salem, OR If you haven't tried them yet, you are in for a treat. Delicious!

DonorsChoose donations will be matched starting October 21st.

Our assistant is working on replacing books that have gone missing or been damaged during CDL. Here is the link for her DonorsChoose project.

Starting on Thursday, October 21st, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation will double every donation made to book projects on DonorsChoose — while funds last.
