SRSD K-6 School News
September 4, 2015
The 2015-2016 school year is off to a great start! Both the students and teachers are getting back into the swing of things and adjusting to their new routines.
Great things that are happening:
Back to School Prayer Service
On Tuesday, staff and students gathered in the chapel for a prayer service led by Ms. Beth and Ms. Eileen. They engaged students in discussion about what hands can be used for: signing and communicating, cooking, helping, welcoming, waving and more. Students practiced practiced using their hands in positive ways by waving "hi", shaking hands, clapping and praying. Everyone is looking forward to using their gifts from God in positive ways this school year!
This year, Ms. Tracy, Ms. Charlene, Mr. Patrick and Mr. Adam will all be in the gymnasium each morning to monitor our K-6 students before our school day begins. Please remember that the earliest students can arrive is 7:15 and that our school day begins at 7:45.
