Mighty Tritons
We are in the stretch run to Spring Break. Hang in there! We recognize that some of our students are testing boundaries around this time of the year, so be proactive and involve counselors and APs as needed. We have few reminders for this week. We be planning for a Social Luncheon before we go on the break (possibly the 21st). Be on the lookout. Remember to set your clocks forward one hour this Sunday! Please be mindful of the following:
A. Allocation Meeting. I will have a short meeting after school on Thursday to discuss our current allocations for FTEs next year. It will be a short ten minute meeting so that you are aware of the process. Please plan to be at the pavilion by 3:25.
B. FAC. Please discuss any instructional concerns for the FAC in your upcoming PLC meeting for the March 12th meeting.
C. SBAC Affidavits. Please sign them and return to Dean's office.
D. SLT. There will be a meeting on March 20th for SLT. If you are an SLT Member, please check with Karina.
E. Next Faculty Meeting. We will have our next meeting on March 20th at 3:30 (please note that is a Wednesday).
F. Promotion. Students who pass all 8th grade classes will have all other classes validated and make them eligible to participate in the promotion ceremony. There will be special cases for students who passed all of their classes but failed one this semester. We shall talk more about this issue in March.
G. Summer Opportunities. Be on the lookout for some great teaching and learning opportunities. Below are some of my favorites!

A Message from our Assistant Principals!
Next Safety Drill: March 19th (Earthquake and Evacuation) . Details forthcoming.
Safety Tip of the Week: To help with a safe and secure campus before and after school, staff members outside their doors to welcome students when they arrive and to wish them a wonderful rest of the day when they leave will help create a positive presence on campus.
We came across this awesome opportunities from Sea World and Disneyland. You might want to check them out!

Resilience(Triton Trait of the Month!)
This month we want to highlight this trait of Resilience. We encourage you to meet life’s challenges head on! And for the days where it seems life is winning and you can’t catch a break, power through the pain and disappointment with a positive attitude. Accept the roller coaster of wins and losses and turn them all into learning experiences that make you a better person.
Check out our library of resources that we can use to discuss the Triton Traits with our students. Please feel free to add links to any documents you have created (upload to google drive and copy link) or links to videos, articles, and images you have found online that we can all use to share with our students.
Also, consider nominating students for Triton of the Week who exemplify the Triton Trait of Resilience.
