Native Texan Research
Life in the Past
As we begin our exploration of Texas, students have partnered to tell the story of an assigned Native Texan tribe. Students used Google Classroom to research their tribe, and will develop a presentation to teach their classmates important attributes of their tribe.
Reading
As we have worked through our Native American reports, students have been reading to find the important information in the articles provided. Students have asked strong questions in their quest to inform their classmates about their chosen tribe. Students will begin presenting information on Friday and Monday.
Math
Multiplication, multiplication and more multiplication are tap for us in the coming weeks. Students are taking daily timed tests and should be working on them at home in Fasttmath. We have begun working on double digit multiplication and students who know their facts, are performing much better than those who are still learning their facts. Students are also working to learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division vocabulary. Students will be creating flash cards on Quizlet or Flashcard+ defining each word. Students will randomly be tested on these words.
