THE SKY NEEDS STARS
NUDGE: ROBERTS MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLUME 38
My Summer Wish List for the Staff:
Here are my 3...
# 1
To be great in teaching you have to master being competent. This means you have take time to learn skills that are necessary to push students forward. When you are deliberately practicing, regardless if anyone is watching, you simply get better. The more you learn, the more willing you are to try new things. Your confidence is slowly amplifying. There are trials of clues all around you of successful educators. Are you willing to make the invisible visible? Are you willing to deconstruct what it takes to be a transformational educator? You have to take the first step to get to the next step of growth.#2
This summer, I want to nudge you in a direction of practicing giving. I want you to ask yourself, "How can I contribute?" Even though you might not be doing great things yet, you can do the little things with greatness. This is what makes Roberts different from other schools. It is all about the little contributions towards others that makes you great. The love for humanity is what fans the flames of our existence.

Lastly, I want you to examine your systems. This summer, if you are not meeting your goals in any area of your career or life, you need to build a system. I believe, you do not rise to the level of your goals, but you fall to the level of your systems. Systems ensure that you maximize your time. I will be teaching more about systems next year.
Remember, direction determines destinations. Our compass is guiding us to our mission. We are editing stories in the lives of our students. This is why we are so passionate and intentional about building a TRIBE that is necessary to experience exponential growth.
Thank you for all that you have accomplished this year. I appreciate you pouring your heart, time, and energy to make a impact. You are remarkable. Remember I am here if you need anything. We will stay connected. Have a great summer!
Thanks,
Jorly
