Complex Update

Message from Kevin

Hi all,

I hope this email finds you well and that your fall break was relaxing, productive and/or rejuvenating depending on what you needed it to be. Keep doing those things that make you happy and healthy as you keep pushing through this semester.

Also some construction updates. The construction crew will need to do some sawing from 7-10pm. They were planning on doing it during the day but there was too many walkers so they couldn't. It will end at 10pm tonight.

As always, my office is on the 2nd floor Thomas and Hopkins connector please stop by and say hi.

Love the arts and want to showcase your visual work? Emory Arts Underground is currently recruiting for our Fall Visual Arts Gallery dedicated to all things visual! The theme is Maze: Unravel, but don't let that limit what you choose to submit. All skill levels are welcome (don't be shy, all works are beautiful because art is beautifully subjective!). And don't let the "visual" aspect of the gallery limit you if you are a performer, poet, filmmaker, etc. After all, recorded/printed poems, short films, and recorded performances count as visual art too~ Apply here by Oct. 31st.

Construction Update

The construction team is doing everything they can to respect the fact that there are students living nearby the construction zone. This includes not having work done during move-in or finals week and during the week they operate between 7am and 7pm.

Beginning Friday October 14th at 8 PM, Clifton Road will be reduced to one lane of travel for northbound traffic and one lane of travel for southbound traffic. All Lanes of Clifton Road will be opened prior to rush hour traffic on Monday morning October 14th.

Impacts to traffic on campus will be minimal. The entrance to Woodruff Circle from Clifton Road will be closed and the final 50’ of Fishburne Drive will be closed to traffic. Access to Cox Hall, WMRB and the loading dock of the School of Medicine will be maintained via Means Drive. Personnel will be on site to assist traffic into and out of these areas.

If you have any issues with the construction, please let Kevin know.
