Blended Learning
Coming soon to a classroom you're in!
So...What is Blended Learning?
Blended learning is the integration of digital tools into the classroom in order to enhance the educational experience for all scholars, while retaining the central importance of the instructor. It enables greater access to school materials, more opportunities to collaborate, and puts a greater share of the power of learning into your (the scholar's) hands.
Scholar Collaboration
In a blended learning environment, scholars can work together on a shared document at school, and them continue that collaboration from home. This same collaboration can extend beyond the school to members of the community...or beyond.
Flipped Learning
Precious class time can be saved when scholars view the direct instruction at home and use class time for collaboration, conversation, and questions. Flipped lessons also allowed the scholars to review the lesson if key concepts were missed.
Teacher Led Discussion
The greatest class room tool is always the teacher. A blended classroom does not seek to replace the teacher with a computer, but does allow the teacher to have great flexibility to address areas of individual concern, rather than whole class instruction.
