The Falcon Flash
Dear Skamania Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. As we move into the month of November, I wanted to take a moment to share some important updates and express my gratitude for your continued support and involvement in our school community.
Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who attended our recent Trunk or Treat event. It was a wonderful evening filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. Your participation truly made the event a success.
I also want to express my appreciation to those who attended the parent conferences. Your engagement in your child's education is invaluable and these meetings provide a great opportunity for us to work together to ensure the success of our students.
Additionally, I want to commend your children for their enthusiastic participation in Spirit Week. It was a joy to see their creativity and school spirit on display throughout the week.
Looking ahead, I would like to inform you that our school will be observing the Thanksgiving break from November 22-24. This will be a time for our students to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with family. Classes will resume on Monday, November 27.
As we approach the holiday season, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Your dedication and commitment play a crucial role in making our school a nurturing and enriching environment for our students.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support. I wish you and your family a peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving break.

Updates from the School...
- Winter is coming! If we have inclement weather delays or closures, we will send messages through our alert system to ALL phone numbers/emails on file. If you do not want so many messages, please stop by or call the office to update your contact information to only the methods you prefer.
- Students have PE every day but Wednesday. Please ensure they wear shoes that will be safe for PE (no sandals, etc.).
- Please contact the office if your child is supposed to ride the bus home with another student or get off at another student's stop. Sometimes there may not be extra room on the bus for additional riders. We also like to hear from a parent on both sides to make sure everyone is on the same page.
- If you need to make an afternoon transportation change, please contact the office before 2 pm (12 pm on Wednesdays).
- Cell phones must remain in backpacks during the school day. Phones that are taken out will be held in the office until the end of the day.
