Saying No.
Remember, you always have an option to say no.
"I need to check with my supervisor/coworkers and see where this fits in with the other projects we are currently working on," is a nonviolent way to turn down an offer without too much of an explanation or pressure.
Explain why
"I need to check with my supervisor/coworkers and see where this fits in with the other projects we are currently working on." The quote is giving an explanation of why he/she may not be able to go out or be reckless.
Alternatives
" I need to check with my supervisor/coworkers and see where this fits in with the other projects we are currently working on." This person could ask the person if they'd like to help them work on whatever project they're about to work on.
body Language
"I need to check with my supervisor/coworkers and see where this fits in with the other projects we are currently working on." The person could be firm with saying that they don't want to, or they could seem uncomfortable. Either way, it'd be clear they don't particularly want to hang out, or engage in risk behaviours.
Leave
"I need to check with my supervisor/coworkers and see where this fits in with the other projects we are currently working on." If the person is uncomfortable or doesn't want to engage in risk behaviours, then he or she should walk away after trying to explain to the perosn why he or she doesn't wish to engage in such behaviours.
