Eversole Run Principal's Weekly
Eversole Run Middle School | December 3, 2021
Happy Friday Eversole Run Families,
I hope everyone had a relaxing and restful Thanksgiving holiday. It’s hard to believe that we only have a couple of weeks before we are out of school for the winter break.
Our winter sports season has started with competition. It’s nice seeing the large crowds cheering for our sports teams.
Our 6th/7th grade band students will be performing Monday at 7pm and our 6th/7th/8th choir students on Wednesday at 7pm. Please come out and hear our great musicians perform.
We have been seeing a lot of food and drinks being dropped off for individual students and their friends. We ask that you only drop off food or drinks for your student. If food is dropped off in the morning, your child will not be able to get the items until their specific lunch period. Same with the afternoon. If you drop off food in the afternoon, the student will not be able to get the items until the end of the school day.
Apparently, there is a new TikTok challenge that is getting a ton of buzz around the district. Luckily, we have only had one incident thus far. The challenge is to use the ear loops ripped off of face masks or any other type of string to saw through school furniture. I ask for you to please communicate with your child to not take part in this negative behavior. If this does occur, the student who damaged the furniture would be liable for the damages. Any assistance of deterring students from participating in this destruction would be greatly appreciated. Also, our wonderful custodian crew has been finding gum on several surfaces and having to spend a considerable amount of time trying to scrape it off. Please talk with your child about disposing of their gum in the trash.
I hope you have a great weekend, and we look forward to seeing your child on Monday.
Go Eagles!!
Kyle Gibson, Ed.D.
