Attendance Matters
As we progress through the academic year, we would like to take a moment to stress the critical importance of student attendance at school. Your child's regular attendance not only impacts their academic success but also plays a significant role in our school's accreditation.
When students are consistently absent from school, even for excused absences, it can have detrimental effects on our accreditation. Chronic absenteeism not only affects individual academic performance but also reflects poorly on our overall school performance. It can raise concerns about our ability to provide a consistent and effective learning environment for all students.
Furthermore, regular attendance is vital for your child's academic growth and success. Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve higher grades, develop important social skills, and graduate on time. Each day of missed instruction represents a missed opportunity for learning and growth.
With this goal in mind, We are thrilled to announce that we will be implementing Monthly Attendance Incentives starting with March Madness.
We kindly ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of regular attendance with your child. You can help by donating the items listed below. We will have a drop off box located in the front of the school.
Pencils - Erasers - Bubbles - Mini bounce balls - Freeze pops
Stickers - Mini play-dough/putty/slime - Little squishies - Popcorn
Animal crackers - Teddy grahams - Capri Suns
Your encouragement and involvement play a crucial role in ensuring that our students understand the significance of attending school every day.

Safety Reminders
β Student ID Badges - All elementary students should wear their ID Badges at all times. This includes on the bus, in school, at recess, in the cafeteria, etc. This is a new safety initiative and must be adhered to with fidelity.
β All visitors to each school building must present their ID and state their reason for needing
entrance through the AI camera before being granted access to the building. This even applies to
individuals who may enter your building regularly. Upon entrance, they must receive a photo
identification visitor badge that must be prominently displayed while visiting the school. If
someone in the building does not have a CPS ID badge or does not have a Raptor Picture ID
visible, any staff encountering this individual should politely ask this individual to return to the
security desk to properly check in.
