Leonardo's Life

Leonardo Da Vinci was born in April 15, 1452 in the beautiful City of Vinci, Italy. He spent most of his life in Florence Italy. In this younger age he was apprentice to Andrea Del Verrocchio and he was educated in his fathers house. He was naturally smart and had many talents but he never really had a love life and never got married. Over his life he created paintings, sculptures, architecture, drawings, inventions. His most known piece of art is the Mona Lisa. He got paid lots of money by the dukes, pope and mostly wealthy citizens for his work of art. leonardo during his life mostly showed individualism and naturalism.

The Mona Lisa

The Mona Lisa was created by Leonardo Da Vinci. The amazing piece of art was started in 1503 and finished in 1517. The real one is found in a museum called the Louvre in Paris France but it is published in many book and there are lots of fake ones. The significance of the piece is that it is probably the most known portrait in the world. The new technique that was used is called Sfumato which means smoke like in Italian. In my own words the piece is very mystical and an amazing portait of a lady and I think his best of art is the Mona Lisa. Naturalism and humanism is used in the Mona Lisa. I find the piece is very interesting and beautiful with all the different color usage and how she is always starring at you no matter where you are.
