Summary ;

The Giver took place somewhere everyone acted the same and the everything around you had no color. In The Giver the point of view is told from an eleven year old named Jonas. He lives in a community where everything is controlled by a group of people called the Committee of Elders. No one in community is allowed to feel. They cant feel hate , love , pain , nothing. Jonas and The Giver want to change that.

Main Character ;

Jonas:

A twelve year old boy that has been chosen to be the new Receiver. He is intelligent and sensitive . Unlike the rest of his friends only Jonas can see colors, and is aware of his strong emotions. A challenge Jonas faces is that he has to lie to his parents about certain things. He also hated that he couldn't express his feelings to other people.

Rating;

I liked the book because it didn't make me fall asleep. It had cliff hanging chapters that made me want to know what was going to happen next. I rate this book 4 stars.
