HELLO SCHOLARS!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

8TH GRADERS - PLEASE REVIEW THE 8TH GRADE SCHOLARS NEWSLETTER ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION! DEADLINE IS SUNDAT NIGHT! IT'S LINKED ABOVE.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Today marks the end of the quarter which means progress reports are coming soon. This is a good check to see how you are doing in your classes. It's the perfect time to do some reflecting on your growth. Remember, EVERYONE is moving into the next grade next year- are you ready?

Ask yourself:

  • Do my grades reflect what I know?
  • Am I being lazy (let's be real) and not turning things in?
  • What can I do to ensure that my grades improve?

CLASSIC SCHOLARS

We have been SO happy to have you all back on campus! Please remember that your Chromebook is now part of our school supplies and you need to bring it every day - fully charged! You are a middle school scholar and know that you need to plug your device in before you go to bed each night to ensure you are ready to learn the next day.

COVID PROTOCOLS STILL IN PLACE

Just a reminder to our Classic scholars about the safety protocols that will be in place when you return to campus. If you choose to not follow these mandatory requirements, you may be moved to the Virtual model. It's everyone's job to keep everyone safe.

  1. You must get your temperature checked prior to coming on campus.
  2. You must have an approved mask that covers your mouth and nose on at all times while on campus, except when eating or drinking. No gators, bandanas, masks with vents. If you don't have a mask, we will give you one.
  3. You must work hard maintain appropriate social distancing. This is a tough one for all of us! Everyone needs to keep their hands to themselves and try to stand at least an arm's length apart when outside. Virtual hugs only.
  4. Bring a re-fillable water bottle to school as all the water fountains are shut off.
  5. No sharing of food, drink, or other items. No sharing of anything :-(
  6. Scholars will have assigned seating in their classrooms AND at lunch.

Counseling is offering Lunch Hangouts (formerly called Lunch Bunch)! This is a great way to connect with your friends while we are in this weird virtual space. We will hang out, chat, and play some fun interactive games with fellow scholars via Zoom! Feel free to bring your lunch! Use this form to join!

Have a great weekend!

Ms. DeSanto

Meet Ms. Ruth, Your PASS Mentor

Hello RMMS! My name is Miss Ruth, and I am the new PASS mentor! For those of you who don’t know what a PASS mentor does, I generally help scholars be the best RMMS students they can be by providing homework help, encouraging attendance, checking in with students to see how distance learning has been going. I hope to be able to meet you all in person soon!
