Kingdom Living in a Hostile Age
BRITE Winter Seminar 2018
Mark your calendars and make plans to join us!
In an age of moral relativism and ethical chaos, it is imperative for Christians to think seriously, deeply, and biblically about the basis for our ethics and values. Studying a topic like this is surely essential to the health of the church in our day.
This intensive course will cover foundational issues that bear directly on the development of a biblical understanding of mankind and a Christian approach to ethics and public life. Special attention will be paid to the way biblical and systematic theology pertaining to ethics ought to inform a philosophy of Christian ministry. Topics to be covered include:
The Trinity and Christian ethics
The nature of man as a unique creation
Theological and pastoral responses to sexual sin
The covenantal contours of the Christian's motive, standard, and goal for ethics
Common grace and Natural Law
Christian cultural engagement
