Coming Soon! Veteran's Day Program 2018
Our program will take place from 12:45-2:00 on Friday, November 9.
Classroom activities will take place from 12:45-1:40.
I suggest that teachers have activities where our guests could engage in small group or table top activities. Veterans have been encouraged to bring a photo or item of interest to share with the students.
Resources are also available in our google docs file.
At approx. 1:40, an announcement will be made asking the veterans to make their way to the gym. At that time, we ask that you line your students up in the hallway with their flags.
Once the parade has passed down your hallway, any child who is leaving with a veteran must go to the main hallway to meet up with their guest. Only send those who have prior written permission.
Our program will conclude at 2:00 pm.
Reminders
- Send any Veteran's Day Participation Forms to the office as they come in.
- Nominate a Student of the Month for any outstanding student you might have.
- Don't forget....Send any students down to the office with a "positive referral" to sign the Great Big Book of Awesomeness. Students who sign will get a notification to take home to their parents.
- Don't forget to "Sign In" each week on the 2018-19 PD Sign in for PGP Verification" Doc

Jaymee here! Tier 3: Our focus has been characters - how are their emotions reflected in their actions? How do they change in the story? What causes this change? Tier 2: Our focus has been on the multiple sounds of certain vowel patterns: oo as in zoo, oo as in book; ow as in grow, ow as in snow. We are working on being flexible when attacking words with these patterns.

I'm really pleased with how our Math Labs have launched! The kids are giving us great feedback as well.
4th grade: Don't forget our special Friday groups: 10:15-11:00- Addition MFM group, 1:05-1:45- Subtraction MFM group. I'll be sending students home with baggies and a goal sheet as a reminder. We'll try these groups until they test out, so let me know if you see improvement!
