By: Maddy G
Climate Location
The location of the latitudes are below 60 degrees South latitude and above 60 degrees North latitude. They are also located in the polar zones. Mainly in Greenland and in Antarctica.
Yearly Precipitation
With Intense col make the air dry. In that case, low temperature + low moisture = few plants can grow.
Season and Temperature Range
While it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it is winter in Antarctica and again summer in Greenland. While it is the opposite when it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The lowest temp recorded was about -130 degrees Fahrenheit. The highest was 10 degrees and the average is about -50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Factors Affecting Climate
Latitude affects where it is at on Earth, distance from large bodies of water affect the land and sea breezes, and ocean currents affect the direction of the cold and warm breezes, and precipitation affects the humidity and air moisture in the area
