What's happening at KDM?
Back to School Night Thank You!
Thank you to all out KDM families for a successful Back to School Night! The videos included below, provide an overview of the curriculum across each content area for each grade level. In addition to sharing highlights of the content for the year, the information will address the instructional frameworks that will be utilized to support student learning. Thank you again, we appreciate all your effort in making this a successful school year for all of our students!
Just a reminder, our school day starts at 8:50. If you drop off your child after 8:50, they are considered late. Please be on time. Students who are late due to riding the bus are not considered tardy. Thank you for your support.
Parents are to call or email the school before 8:50 a.m. to report their child’s absence. This phone call or email serves as a record of the absence explanation. In the event that a call or email is not received, a school representative will attempt to contact the parent to confirm that the child is legitimately absent. A written note or email is necessary within three days of the absence. All absences are considered unexcused or unlawful until the District receives a written note or email documenting a valid reason for the absence. (Please refer to Administrative Guidelines/Board Policy 204 for a list of the types of absences that are considered excused.)
Students who arrive after 10AM will have the choice of Cereal Grab and Go or Soy butter Jelly. The hot meal option is no longer available after 10AM.
1. Attendance Line: Please call 610-644 1790 option 2, to leave a message if your student will be late or absent.

KDM Directory Request
Dear KDM Families,
We use the Membership Toolkit platform for our KDM Directory and all email communication. In order to stay updated on what's happening in school, and keep in touch with your child's friends, we need you to create, or update, your account. Please make sure your child(ren) is listed in the school directory, register today!
KDM Cares, is a program designed to help fulfill the unmet needs of our students and cover costs for all these “extras”. As we know, these costs add up. This program is supported by the KDM PTO, parent donations, staff and administration and the Great Valley Foundation.
If your family has any immediate or upcoming needs, please reach out to Mrs. Schrecengost [mailto:NSchrecengost@gvsd.org] with your request.
Note: All requests will remain confidential and no personal information is given out to anyone outside of the guidance office.
