LNNY Volunteer Tutor Training

St. Lawrence County

Literacy of Northern New York Combined Volunteer Tutor Training

Literacy of Northern NY has sponsored tutor training workshops in St. Lawrence County for many years. Trained tutors work with adult learners to help them improve in areas such as Reading, Math, Writing, and English Speaking Skills. Some of the students are working towards obtaining a GED, others need to improve skills for employment, and many students come from other countries.

The Combined Tutor Training provides volunteers with the knowledge to help our students. All materials used with students are provided along with continued support. Tutoring only takes an hour or two of your time each week. The rewards are great – you just might be the person helping someone get a Driver’s Permit, improve employment or reach a milestone.

Check out the Literacy of Northern NY website to see what we do. www.proliteracynny.org
