Middle School Events
There is a middle school dance tonight, Friday, April 28th from 7:00- 9:00 pm. Cost is $5.00. Soda, water, cookies, candy and face painting will be available...costs range .50 - 1.00
BLOOMFIELD’S GOT TALENT SHOW – the show will be Friday, May 5th, 7-10pm.
Sign up in the Middle, High School offices or the Library by April 21st!
Middle School Awards Assembly - Save the date for Tuesday, May 16th at 8:00 am in the PAC. Parents will be notified in advance if their student is being recognized at the assembly.
6th and 7th graders - Mark your calendars! The annual Seabreeze trip is June 19th. More information as the date gets closer.
8th graders - The annual trip to Darien Lake is June 20th.
Regents exams for 8th graders
Tuesday, June 13th at 12:00 PM is the Algebra I exam.
Wednesday, June 14th at 12:00 PM is the Living Environment Regents exam.
Checkpoint A exam for French and Spanish 1B is Friday, June 16th at 8:00 AM.
News from the classroom
In Social Studies 7 this week, the students will use their chrome book computers to travel on the Underground Railroad. Using the PBS "Flight to Freedom" program, the students will encounter various obstacles along the route to freedom as they try to gain their freedom.
Sci 7 - Students are studying the LIGHT unit, today we are reading about reflection and refraction.
Bomber Innovation Zone (BIZ) will be open on Tuesday, May 2nd after school

A makerspace is a place and time that students can explore, tinker, design, create, and build. It is self-directed by the students: they choose what they want to explore, which materials to use, and how long to stick with a project. Students choosing to participate in our makerspace will have access to cardboard and paper projects, Legos, robotics, computers, and simple electronics, as well as other supplemental materials.
Update to the school calendar
Last day of regular classes for grades 6 and 7 remains Friday, June 16th.

Bloomfield Volleyball Grass Roots Program:
Who: Anyone in grades K-6
When: Tuesday’s during the month of May (5/2, 5/9, 5/23, 5/30)
Where: Bloomfield Elementary Gymnasium
What to bring: Smiles and positive attitude! This is a great opportunity for kids who are not of the age to play Modified to partake and learn from the Coach, JV, and Varsity players.

Sign language interpreters will be working in the NTID exhibit area and in various locations around campus. They will be wearing purple t-shirts marked “Interpreter.” In addition, the main stages will have interpreters for all performances.
