September 3rd - 7th

Reflecting on Last Week....

We discussed our frustrations and concerns with fighting, disrespect, lack of engagement, lack of understanding of personal space and more during Monday morning collaboration and you held your first PBIS monthly reward. Did you sit down with students who did not earn the reward and have a discussion? Did you set goals with students to help them stay on track to meet the requirements for September? Did you reach out to Cory and set up class, small group or one on one social/emotional lessons, if needed? What basic interventions should you put in place to support student needs? (ie: personal space - line up with elbows at sides and hands out in front of you, can't touch kid in front of you; hitting/kicking - student stays in designated area in classroom, restroom by themselves, walk next to teacher in hall, etc....) Please remember these things will need taught and practiced over and over again. Continue to use the mindfulness exercises as well.
