A Message From the Board of Directors
Hello Lakes Area! Does anyone else feel like you could do without rain for quite awhile? I know that my family and I are feeling a sense of loss with the fall season being so wet and gloomy and somewhat MIA this year. Although, fall bundle decorating, apple orchards, evening fires with friends, hunting at the cabin, fall colors & trick or treat on main street have still made it onto our calendar, which makes it all better! Being a part of this community there are still so many wonderful things to look forward to even in the cold, winter months ahead such as, the Annual Meeting and Holiday Gala at Winehaven Winery, the Home and Business show in the NEW Community Center & Celebration of the Lakes which is spread throughout this great community! Be sure to check these events out & even take a peak at the other events that are on the calendar and join in the fun!
My husband and I build custom homes in our community. We love to see so many new families make this area their home & we strive to familiarize them to everything we have available here by gifting them a "Welcome Home" gift basket on their closing day with lots of items/gift cards to our local businesses. This has proven to ensure that these new homeowners get a jump start into checking out our area, buying local and realizing they don't have to go far to get what they need!
As we move into the holiday seasons, all of us TOGETHER can be a part of buying local to support these businesses! I know we love shopping for gifts for friends and family, baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries & weddings because these amazing businesses truly have wonderful things to offer us. Another thought, if you love what you've purchased or a service you've recieved, SHARE IT & let the world now it!! TOGETHER, let's serve, support and promote the businesses and organizations in OUR community!
