Worship Online on Sunday as We Continue Spring Training
We will continue our Spring Training worship series with online worship Sunday, February 28, at 8:30 and 11 a.m. There will be no in-person worship until the plumbing is fixed and water service is restored at the church. Pastor Clay provided details about the winter storm damage in a blog last week.
Sunday, February 28 | Week 2 | What’s Our Legacy?
Each great ball club has a history filled with great victories and even sorrowful defeats. Players on the team are a part of that team’s legacy. They recognize where the team has been in order to know where they want to go in the future. Scripture shows that this is true for us in our Christian journey.

Candy/Prizes Needed for Special Easter Event
Please sign up to participate and drop off candy/prize donations at the church no later than noon Sunday, March 7. Our youth will be stuffing the plastic eggs that afternoon.
Let’s Strike Out Hunger; 211 Canned Meat Items Collected During First Week
We’re off to a great start with our Strike Out Hunger drive with 211 canned meat items donated during the first week. Our goal is to collect 1,000 canned meat items for the Christian Community Action (CCA) Food Pantry by Easter Sunday.
According to Denton County, local nonprofit organizations have experienced a 40-60 percent increase in the number of people needing food assistance. Our church works year-round in partnership with the CCA Food Pantry to help stock the canned meat shelves.
Canned meat can include chicken, tuna, ham, potted meat, stew, chili, and pasta with meat. Drop off your canned meat donations at the church in the designated cart.
Virtual Parenting Group to Meet March 3
Parenting in a Pandemic will meet virtually on Wednesday, March 3, to discuss the spiritual disciplines outlined in our Spring Training worship series and to share ideas on helping their children set up their own spiritual practices. This will align with the Vista Kids Sunday school curriculum.
Parenting in a Pandemic is parent-only time to talk through how best to parent, teach, love, and support your families and your own faith during this interesting time we find ourselves in. Virtual gatherings are typically held every other Wednesday evening. All parents with children, preschool through high school ages, are invited to participate.

Study of 10 Commandments Begins Sunday
Vista Forum will discuss Adam Hamilton’s new book about the 10 Commandments and is inviting anyone interested to join in the virtual class.
Sundays Beginning February 28 | 9:45-10:45 a.m.
In this book of scripture and inspiration, bestselling author Adam Hamilton brings modern eyes to the most important set of ethics in history. He considers the commandments in their historical context, considering the meaning of each commandment in Hebrew, unpacking how Jesus reinterpreted them, and showing how every thou-shalt-not was intended to point to a life-giving “thou shalt.” He also explores how the latest research in science and psychology illuminates these commandments, rightly understood, as a way of ordering one’s life beautifully in the present day. In a culture marked by workaholism, materialism, and social media-driven envy, God has given us a time-tested path that leads to gratitude, confidence, and peace.
