From the Principal

We made it to the last day of school! The students are gone and the halls are quiet. This is always a very busy day filled with many emotions and it catches me by surprise every year. I find that I am looking forward to the last day of school just like our students, but then have this feeling of loss when everyone leaves the building. Today was a wonderful way to send them off. Each grade had a slide show of pictures from the year. Our 8th graders had the last slide show and then exited the building from the auditorium to the outside on a path lined with teachers clapping, cheering and congratulating them. It is one of my favorite traditions here at Clarke and a wonderful way to say good bye.

It has been a wonderful few last days here. From the field days for 6th grade and 8th grade to the Walk for the Cure, the trip to Canobie Lake Park for 7th grade, and the trip to Maine for 6th graders, we have certainly packed a lot of fun into one week! In addition, thank you to all who attended our 8th grade moving on ceremony last night at LHS as well. I love seeing our students proudly walk across the stage and hearing the teachers and students speak. Thank you to the PTO and the parents who helped to decorate the stage and set up for the reception afterwards. It was a wonderful evening for all!

Our last staff luncheon after students leave on the last day is also wonderful way to say good bye for the staff. Thank you the parents who donated salads, money, desserts drinks and other treats for us. We appreciate the Clarke PTO so much and all you do for us Check out their new and updated website! Clarke PTO.

Thank you for a wonderful year and I wish you a wonderful, restful and relaxing summer! See you in August.

Field Day

We had a great day on Thursday June 21 with field day for both the 6th grade and the 8th grade. While the 6th graders have a long standing tradition of field day, the 8th grade held their first field day - planned and executed by a determined group of students! It was a beautiful day that included ice cream from Rancatore's (Thank you Clarke PTO) for both grades as well as games and a student / faculty kickball game for 8th grade to end the day. Thank you for the water and all the support! A great time was had by all.

Clarke's 1st Annual Walk for the Cure

On Saturday June 16, 2018, Clarke students, staff, parents and community gathered for a walk to benefit The Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the Quinn Amsler Fund. It was a beautiful day and we were thrilled that so many came out to support this inspiring cause. Thank you to all of you who donated, helped out and walked. With your support, the walk raised over $4,000 for the Quinn Amsler Fund. Way to go! What an incredible way to close out the year. I would also like to give thanks to the students who were the driving force for this event. They were determined to make it happen and you really did! Also a huge thanks to Mrs. Paddol and Ms. Kozak for their tireless support and help getting this even up and running. Great job team! Looking forward to next year's event already!
