From the Principal
We made it to the last day of school! The students are gone and the halls are quiet. This is always a very busy day filled with many emotions and it catches me by surprise every year. I find that I am looking forward to the last day of school just like our students, but then have this feeling of loss when everyone leaves the building. Today was a wonderful way to send them off. Each grade had a slide show of pictures from the year. Our 8th graders had the last slide show and then exited the building from the auditorium to the outside on a path lined with teachers clapping, cheering and congratulating them. It is one of my favorite traditions here at Clarke and a wonderful way to say good bye.
It has been a wonderful few last days here. From the field days for 6th grade and 8th grade to the Walk for the Cure, the trip to Canobie Lake Park for 7th grade, and the trip to Maine for 6th graders, we have certainly packed a lot of fun into one week! In addition, thank you to all who attended our 8th grade moving on ceremony last night at LHS as well. I love seeing our students proudly walk across the stage and hearing the teachers and students speak. Thank you to the PTO and the parents who helped to decorate the stage and set up for the reception afterwards. It was a wonderful evening for all!
Our last staff luncheon after students leave on the last day is also wonderful way to say good bye for the staff. Thank you the parents who donated salads, money, desserts drinks and other treats for us. We appreciate the Clarke PTO so much and all you do for us Check out their new and updated website! Clarke PTO.
Thank you for a wonderful year and I wish you a wonderful, restful and relaxing summer! See you in August.
