Hawk Happenings!
Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Happy Wednesday!
Brrr...it is so cold in the mornings. Don't forget to send the kiddos with a winter jacket. Also, if you are missing one, they are starting to fill up the lost and found...already!
I want to let you know of a big change at Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy. Ms. Berenice, aka "Queen B", has made the difficult decision to leave our little community. We are sad to see her go but happy for a new opportunity that has presented itself in her life. Her last day with us will be Thursday, Oct. 10th. If you have a chance to send her an email or stop by to wish her well, that would be great. We love Berenice and will miss her and I know she feels the same. On a positive note, we are blessed to have Mrs. Nina Tatum replace her. Nina has been a cherished part of our Parent Service Committee as the Social Chair and has done a fantastic job organizing events such as the Fall Festival, Parent-Teacher Conference Potlucks, and Teacher Appreciation events. If you are interested in the Social Chair position, please join us for tomorrow morning's meeting at 8 am or email me at kdempsey@holyrosarybilingual.org. Also, Nina will be training next week so feel free to stop by and congratulate her on the new job! I know we will be in good hands.
Have a great week!
Blessings,
Katie Dempsey

Annual Appeal...and Much, Much More!
From the Development Director:
With just a couple weeks complete in the new school year, I hope that everyone is transitioning well into the back to school routine. It is great to see so many familiar faces and new families too. Our Annual Fund Appeal kicks off in September and ends on November 15th. This is our first major fundraiser of the year. The goal for this fund is $100,000. Your gift towards this fund provides a quality educational program for your student(s), new curriculum and materials, staff training, financial aid, and many other initiatives. There is a minimum donation of $25 for each family. If a donation is not made by November 15, 2019 a $50 charge will be billed out.
You can choose to make a one time donation or you can pledge a monthly amount. Consider giving $25 a month for ten months which provides a total donation of $250. All donations are tax deductible. Donations can easily be made online by visiting the following link: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/o5kPfZnwU-9YPZxE8gatew
Thank you to the staff and families that have already donated!
