Help All When They Fall
As citizens of Coppell, we want to make it a better place
THE REAL PROBLEM
In our community, their are falling numbers of people that are willing to help others when they fall on the stairs. There are many causes of this, one being the bystander effect, which is when the decisions of others change due to outside influences. People choose not to help because they figure someone else will.
The Fall
There are two types of people...
Those who don't help
The girl wants help but doesn't receive it due to unhelpful peers.
Those who do help
The girl receives help and and is overjoyed by this act of kindness.
HOW TO FIX IT
If someone falls, ignore the social scene and do what you know is right, and don't allow your actions change because of your surroundings. Put yourself in their shoes, if you took a bad fall, wouldn't YOU want someone to help? Always assume they want assistance, and don't walk on by.
