Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Dear families,
The safety of our students, staff, and families is one of our top priorities. Please take a moment to review the drop off and pick up procedures.
If your child is driven to and from school, please make sure to drop them off on the school side of the driveway. Children must exit or enter vehicles on the passenger side of the vehicle only which keeps them safe and out of the lane of moving traffic. Drivers should not leave their vehicle if they are in the drop off or pick up zone. They must remain seated in the vehicle in order to pull ahead when necessary.
The drop off and pick up lane is single lane traffic only. Please do not pass any vehicles. The driveway in the front of school is not a parking area and cars that are left parked there create a backup for everyone. This driveway is only for immediate pick up and drop off. You may not park in the driveway during pick up and drop off times.
Parents parking in the parking lot for pickup are required to walk up the sidewalk to escort their child back to the car. Children may not walk to cars unattended by an adult. Staff members will not allow children to walk to and from cars in the lot without adult supervision.
Let's work together to keep everyone safe. If you have questions or concerns regarding our pick up or drop off procedures, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Jessica Grimm
Principal

Global School Play Day: One Day. Nothing But Play.
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Woodfield will be participating in the Global School Play Day 2022. Global School Play Day started in 2015 and it is one day set aside for students to play and to help raise awareness about the necessity and benefits of unstructured play.
We will follow the guidelines below on Wednesday…
NO SCREENS - NO STRUCTURE - NO INTERFERENCE
No Screens: Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own favorite toys from home. The only requirement is that the toys may NOT require batteries or electricity.
No Structure: We will not attempt to organize or structure student play. However, we will give students options.
Crafting Construction/Building
Board Games, Puzzles, Cards Dramatic Play
Manipulatives Things that Go (trucks, trains, etc)
No interference: We will let students manage their own play unless there is
something that will physically hurt another child.
Other than taking a few pictures, it is our goal to be invisible and let the kids play. This is a time for unstructured play, not teacher-led lessons. We are so excited to see what our kids will come up with!
