A Note from our Principal
Greetings, WPA Families,
Intent to Return
It is that time of year again when families with students in grades K-5 declare their intent to enroll at WPA next year.
When you log in to your parent Aspire account, you will see a blue flag that says “can register for grade __.” You will find this link below your child’s name and student lunch number. Please click on this link and complete the registration process for next year. You will need to complete this process for each student you have currently attending Wasatch Peak Academy. You will know your registration is complete if you log back into your parent Aspire homepage and the blue flag has disappeared. If you still see the link, your registration is not complete.
In order to get an accurate count for students next year we would like you to complete this as soon as possible. Please have your registration completed by Friday, December 16.
We understand circumstances change, and your registration status may change. If this arises, please contact the front office so we can adjust as needed. Please note this process does not include siblings of students who will be attending Wasatch Peak Academy next year. That enrollment will happen later. If you have any questions, please email Julie Nelson at jnelson@wasatchpeak.org
Tardies
In recent days we have noticed an increase in students arriving late to school. Students that arrive late miss important start of school directions and have limited time to transition and ease into the school day. Anything you can do to help support timely arrival to school helps your student have a positive and productive school day.
Cold and Flu...and Covid Season
Attendance is an influential factor that impacts a child's learning. As early as Kindergarten, missing school can have long-term effects on a child's education. A lot of research supports the goal for students to miss less than ten days per school year or less than one day per month. You can access your student's attendance through Aspire or contact the front office for additional details.
Holiday Sing-A-Round
IT IS BACK! We are excited to have our Holiday Sing-A-Round Back this year for parents and students to enjoy. The students will perform for parents on Friday 16th, from 8:15ish – 9:15. Parents are welcome to join us in the gym for the performance. (Parents who are staying to help with school activities after the performance, please take a moment to check in at the office) Students will get the opportunity to perform for each other later in the day.
Winter Break
Winter break is right around the corner. There will be no school from December 19th- January 2nd. We look forward to seeing our wonderful students again on January 3rd. We hope you are able to enjoy the extra time with family.
