Counselor's Corner
Every day you are being asked to do new things and you are learning how to navigate a new normal during this online learning experience. Some things may be easy to adapt to while others are more difficult. Don’t forget we all have things that are easy for us and other things that are hard. Focus on your strengths and build your self-confidence, you are your own cheerleader/ coach. YOU CAN DO THIS! Please click here for this weeks lesson.
Katy ISD has added a few new resources to their website which can be accessed at www.katyisd.org under COVID -19 resources.
Library Lowdown
Top places to find your child’s lost library books:
1. Between the bed and the wall
2. Between the bed and the other wall
3. Shoved in the back of the bookcase
4. Underneath the couch
5. In the piano bench
6. The bathroom
7. In the car (the book wanted to go on a trip!)
8. Inside the dresser
9. Under the bed
Between the sheets (usually found at the foot of the bed)
On top of, or underneath a kitchen appliance
Thank you for your help with returning the books!
Please encourage your child to continue reading through the summer! If you need ideas or suggestions, feel free to contact Mrs. Nicholas! She’s just an email away!

Future MPJH Eagles!
Calling all Future Eagles! We know that this school year has not ended as any of us would have planned, but we did want to make sure you had a chance to “see” MPJH before entering as a 6th grader in a couple months. Take a guided tour with Dr. Craig, our campus Principal, as she shows you the building and answers some common 6th grade concerns. Parents and students can access the video here: https://tinyurl.com/MPJHVirtualTour (Google Drive)
We do know that all questions may not have been answered in the video, so if you (parents or students!) have questions about transitioning to 6th grade, please fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/NnRTAmLnBvHEwf7y9 We will compile the questions and answers and send them to everyone – we may even do a recorded Q&A with some special guests!
Later in the summer, be on the lookout for a postcard with back to school information including our Eaglet Camp when you will come up and learn from the experts (our students) about being an Eagle. You’ll also get your schedule then, too. We are working on dates at this time to ensure we are compliant with local health requirements. But, we are ready to welcome you!
Most importantly, we hope your families are healthy and well and that you have gotten to appreciate spending time together while we have been home. We are excited to meet you all in the fall and look forward to welcoming you to our MPJH Eagle Family!
