George Lucas was the one who started the company. Pixar began in 1979 as the graphic groups, part of the computer division of lucasfilm before it was acquired by apple computer co-founder steve jobs in 1986. Then Walt Disney bought Pixar in 2006 at a valuation of $7.4 billion. Pixar was created in California february 3 in 1986. They created Pixar because they wanted to harness such inventiveness to make a digital technology that could be used in any stage of the filmmaking process, from editing and printing to create computer graphics.


When it first started John Lasseter began working at lucasfilm computer division. Then they joined Disney. And then they started to make new movies like Toy Story, Wall E, etc. Now they made even newer movies like Brave, Up, Toy Story 3, etc. It is better now because they made newer and better movies.

Pixar changed society because now a lot of people like going to Disneyworld because they want to go see Pixar animation. It impacts on a everyday life because people like to watch their movies everyday they are really good. Also Pixar donates to hospitals to help make kids feel better.
