Circle Public Schools

End of the First Quarter

We have reached the end of the first quarter of our school year. It is hard to believe how fast it has gone so far. With the recent upturn in cases and quarantines in our schools, please remember to keep your children home if they are sick. Your continued cooperation with school officials and public health is appreciated.

Safety Week

Our Bo Peep students really enjoyed Safety Week last week. Deputy Skyberg and Virginia Richardson came and talked to the students about safety, what police officers do, and what happens when you call 911. Mandi Nay, Shannell Weeding, and Megan Curtiss visited with the ambulance and talked about what an EMT does. Some students even got to test out some of the equipment in the ambulance! To round out the week, the students got to take a field trip to the fire station to learn about the important job of a firefighter. Thanks to everyone that came out and joined us!

Food Service - Free Breakfast and Lunch

Beginning October 1, all students in the district will receive free breakfast and lunch through December 31. The Summer Food Program through the USDA has expanded their program and Circle students are eligible during this time.

** This program has been extended through June 30, 2021!! All students currently enrolled in Circle Public Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch through the remainder of the school year.

Red Ribbon Week - Proud to be Drug Free!

We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week the week of Oct. 26 - 31. Redwater and Bo Peep students have had lessons during life skills about drug awareness and the importance of being drug free. Let's have some fun with the following dress up days next week:

Mix Up Monday: Don't get mixed up on drugs - mismatched clothing/hair

Too Bright Tuesday: You're too bright to do drugs - neon colors

Western Wednesday: Give drugs the boot - western wear

Thursday - Scare away drugs - Wear your favorite costume (No bloody/gory attire and masks will only be allowed for parts of the day)

Distance Learning Platform Night

On Tuesday, October 27, we will be having a Distance Learning Platform Night. Teachers will lead you through how to access the distance learning platforms being used by the district and how you can help your students with them.

Seesaw platform for grades K - 3 will be from 6 - 6:30.

Google Classroom for grades 4 - 12 will be from 6:30 - 7.

This will all take place in the multipurpose room in Bo Peep.

We look forward to seeing everyone that night!

Parent Conferences

Parent Conferences have been scheduled for November 2 and 3. Parents with children in grades K - 5 will receive a letter in the mail with your assigned conference times. Please call Sandy in the office if their is a conflict. Parents with students in grades 6 - 12 can come in and visit with teachers in their classrooms from 4 - 7 pm both evenings. This is an open house style format so you may have to wait a few minutes to talk to a teacher if they are meeting with another family. We look forward to seeing many of you here.

Veterans Day

We will be having a Veterans Day ceremony at 9:00 am on November 11 in the high school gym. All veterans and members of the community are invited to attend.

There will be a Veterans Honor Wall this year. Papers will be sent home next week that can be filled out to honor veterans in your family. Please contact your child's teacher or the school office if you need more.
