How Animals Adapt to the Winter

We created a unit in which our students will be working in collaborative learning groups. Each group will be assigned an animal to work on. One of the main focuses in each of the lessons is how animals adapt to their habitat, especially in the winter. The students will take part in various activities such as tickets out the door, picture walks, a John Collins vocabulary activity, and read various types of text. The students will use various sources online to research information on their animal. The students will have the opportunity to share their information and facts they learned during research through an essay, or a brochure.
