How they celebrate

Most of the community goes on Christmas Eve to Misa Del Gallo.

Its called that because they often return early or the time of the rooster.

More Stuff

One unique tradition of Christmas in Bolivia is not only bringing a small baby Jesus to the church as an offering but also an offering that reflects their profession.

This holiday continues through to Epiphany on January 6th when children receive gifts. The night before the children place shoes outside their door and the 3 Kings will bring them presents through the night.

Food

After Misa Del Gallo they return to their homes and eat Picana which consists of meat and spices which is accompanied by salad and fruit and roasted meat.
