THE ALL SAINTS GOLDEN GALA & AUCTION WAS GOLDEN IN EVERY WAY!
Did You Know?
Spiritual Life
At St. Louis Catholic we are building Saints! Did you know we had over 40 football players and the coaches at morning mass this morning? Our campus wide book study began this week. Shown are seniors reading in the chapel. This week’s challenge – Reflect on the question, “What matters most?” It’s not too late to join in the study and spend quality time discussing the book with your teen. If you would like to purchase a copy for home, send $5 with your name to the front office.
Huge thanks to Parent Guild for providing a “Coffee Café” for Food and Fellowship. Students enjoyed coffee and dessert during lunch last week while sharing their faith with each other.
Senior Saints, Sophia Tassin and Madison Brinkman created this promotional video to urge students to give of themselves through service. Watch it here.
Academics
Underclassmen can take Computer Science Discoveries or Introduction to Business Computer Applications (IBCA) and then move into Computer Architecture where they learn how to repair our computers and the skills needed to be an entry-level service technician. Computer Science Discoveries (CSD) and IBCA are not just for students who want a career in computer science. These 2 classes are a good fit for ALL STUDENTS. In CSD, students learn first and foremost how to be problem-solvers and creators. It is a project-based class where they are able to create a website, a game, an interactive card, and an app. IBCA gives students the keyboarding skills and fundamentals they need in order to pass a Microsoft Office Specialist Exam in Word or PowerPoint. Finally, our NEW Help Desk class allows students to work the technology Help Desk in the library while pursuing a passion project (independent learning endeavor).

Academic Updates
AP Payment Deadline is TOMORROW!
AP course payments are due tomorrow. If you have a FACTS account, please follow the below instructions. If you do NOT have a FACTS account, you may pay by check. Please make the check payable to SLCHS, and bring it to Mrs. Fruge in the Counseling Department.
1. Log into FACTS.
2. Under “Payment Plan and Billing,” you will see a total balance, payment plan, and incidental expenses. Note: AP fees are listed under incidental expenses.
3. Select “Make a Payment.” Note: At this time, you cannot auto draft for incidental expenses; you can enroll in auto draft, but that option can not be applied until next year’s AP payment.
4. Click “Other Amount.”
5. Under “Other Payment Options,” check the September 27 Incidental Expenses box; the amount should populate for you.
6. Follow the remainder prompts to submit/confirm your payment. Thanks so much for your patience, as we are learning a new FACTS feature!
In addition, some of you still have NOT submitted your contract on Moodle. Please take care of this. If you are still NOT enrolled in your AP course, please call the hotline at 888-222-5427 or come see Ms. Tricia Barrow ASAP. Email Ms. Barrow to tell her you are coming, so she can make sure she is available. She needs to order AP exams at the beginning of October, and these items MUST be taken care of to place the order. Thank you for your cooperation!
Academic Study Hall Returns on Wednesdays
In order to receive the full benefit of Study Hall, we recommend that students attend for at least 45 minutes. Please email teachers Rachel Muth at rmuth@slchs.org or Holley Fontenot at hfontenot@slchs.org with any questions!
Spotlight on Saints Performing Arts!
St. Louis Catholic High School debuted a performing arts curriculum in 2019, with approximately 40 students participating in our Dance elective classes taught by instructor Ms. Tricia Barrow.
We hope to grow this program even more in future years! A special thanks to our Media Arts, Dance and Choir students for their commitment, hard work and creative talents, especially during the creation of the performing arts trailer. Click here to watch the video. We especially want to thank Sophia Tassin, Elizabeth Achee, Molly Piatt, and Jace Peloquin for their dedication to this project!
Congratulations to Mike Veron on being inducted into the St. Louis Catholic Hall of Fame at the Gala!
As St. Louis Catholic High School celebrates its 50th anniversary, the St. Louis Hall of Fame is pleased to induct its newest member – Mike Veron, Landry Memorial Class of 1968. The Hall of Fame was established in 2000 to recognize any person, living or deceased, who has demonstrated outstanding ability, leadership, character, heroism, dedication and patriotism, and whose life and accomplishments are an inspiration to the students of St. Louis Catholic High School.
