Better Together!

Dear Families:

It’s hard to believe we are now just 15 days away from the end of the 2020-21 school year, and I can’t thank you enough for your partnership. I know it has not always been easy and for some it's been downright hard. That said, I am incredibly grateful for your patience and your willingness to work with us to resolve difficulties along the way. Together we accomplished what many could not; providing both a safe in-person and effective distance option for families.

Countless school districts across the country continue to struggle to even start what we are on the verge of completing, and roughly half of the nation’s students experienced little to no in-person learning this year.

Recently, we were asked to share our experience on a national panel so that other school districts across the country could learn details of how we are providing in-person learning. It was rewarding to reflect on our success, and humbling to consider that despite the almost overwhelming challenges, staff at every level of our school district made students their highest priority even when it conflicted with their own misgivings and even fears.

Merriam-Webster defines bravery as “the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty.” If you have a moment, I ask that you consider reaching out to a staff member that has exemplified bravery and has made a difference for your family this year. I thank you in advance for your consideration, and of course, words can hardly do justice to how thankful I am for all of you and your partnership!

Sincerely,

Sara Paul
