Education Sabbath-May 7
Tomorrow is the big day! Our students have been working so hard. We are looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow, and we hope that everyone can make it! Please continue to pray for this program, that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide in everything that we do. We just wanted to send you a few reminders for tomorrow.
The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM, but we are asking that all students arrive by 10:00 AM. They will need to check in with their teachers in the chapel, and drop off their clothes. Please enter using the door closest to the church parking lot. We will be there to direct you as needed.
Students need to arrive wearing their costumes for the first choir performance (slave, army clothes. Please see details below). They will be changing into their full school uniforms right after this first performance. Please make sure that they bring everything they will need to change into with them to church in the morning.
Students who have a part in the program should go over their parts a few times at home before the program. If you have any questions about this, please let me know.
Students will be sitting up front with the teachers during the entire service. Once the service is over, we will release the students to their parents. We have a check in/check out process, so please let us know you have your child with you before you leave.
We hope that parents and families will be able to attend, but if not, you may watch the program live from the church’s YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/c/EphesusRichmond
Choir Performance Attire
Green Camouflage pants
Oversized white or off white/cream button up shirt (big enough to wear another shirt underneath)
Solid Black T-Shirt.
Girls a solid headwrap or scarf/ Boys a straw or brim hat
Much of these can be found throughout the home. They can be their parents clothes. Its meant to look like a runaway slave so it doesn't have to "fit" necessarily.
If a student doesn’t have the exact requirement, please find something close to it. Let us know if you have any questions
Thank you so much for all of you help and support as we prepared for this! We appreciate all of you!!

MAP Testing Begins Monday
Thank you for our patience as we have worked with the conference to reschedule the MAP testing. Testing will begin on Monday. A reminder that the testing is done completely online, so students will need to make sure they bring their laptops back to school on Monday, fully charged. 1st-2nd graders will need to bring headphones so that the test can be read to them. Students should expect to test for a few hours each day on their laptops. We will reduce homework and projects for the next two weeks to give students time to focus on the tests. For more information about the tests, please visit the link below.
It's also a good idea for students to get an adequate amount of sleep each night and eat healthy meals throughout the week. This will help them to stay focused and stay alert during the testing.
