A Message from Principal Choquette
Good afternoon. I hope you all had a nice weekend. For me, it was a challenge to not listen to or watch the news non-stop as I am still dealing with my own feelings of disbelief, anger, and sadness over the event that took place last week in Washington D.C. I know that our children may have many questions, so please look at the resources I've attached below to help guide your conversations. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns about this topic, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or anyone on our SEBL team.
As you heard from Dr. Provost's robocall last week, we are continuing our pause until Tuesday, January 19th. There will be no in-person learning again this week. Monday the 18th there is no school for the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. All prek-5 grade students who chose in-person learning will begin again on Tuesday, January 19th unless we hear otherwise.
The most important thing we can all do is our part in helping to stop the spread of the virus. Wearing a mask, washing hands, practicing social distancing, not traveling, and only being with people in your immediate household are all things we can do to help stop the spread. Please do your part, we all want to get back to normal. More than anything, we want your children back in school, but we can't do that unless we are all being responsible.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day.
